| Job Description |
Status: Classified Employee/Temporary Full Time/not to exceed 120 days.
This position is an entry level position in the Recreation Department’s Summer Youth Program. Program runs from Mid June to August 1st, 2010.
Position requires daily oversite of youth clean up crew. Daily preparations, planning and daily attendance of clean up crew, scheduling of youth work crew and program activities.
This position is a 37.5 hour per week, Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Position requires providing direction and implementing specific task as assigned by the Director.
Experience in youth supervision preferred. |

| Qualifications |
State of Alaska Drivers License. Knowledge of Haz-Mat handling practices, CPR/First Aid preferred, reliable; dependable. Able to communicate well with the general public
Experience desired: ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor setting, dedication to task of improving community by providing services related to the program; ability to analyze operational problems to identify alternative and suggest solution, and work with the general public.
